性激素結(jié)合球蛋白（SHBG）是一種95kD的同源二聚體糖蛋白，在肝臟中合成，在血漿中的半衰期為7天。SHBG以高親和力特異性結(jié)合類固醇激素（DHT>睪酮-雌二醇；DHEA/雄烯二酮/雌三醇），其主要功能是性類固醇在血流內(nèi)和血管外靶組織中的轉(zhuǎn)運。SHBG還通過性類固醇對可用結(jié)合位點的競爭和SHBG濃度的波動，在調(diào)節(jié)生物可利用性類固醇濃度方面發(fā)揮關(guān)鍵作用。血液中SHBG濃度表現(xiàn)出高度的個體間變異性，并受雄激素/雌激素平衡、營養(yǎng)狀況、體重指數(shù)、性別、胰島素濃度等因素的影響。
